Cannabis legalization was on the horizon for Canada in 2017, and an opportunity arose to help deliver it right to the doorstep. The Manitoba government was accepting business proposals and a client wanted to develop a Cannabis delivery app: Dispense Direct would be an accessible, responsible, and prudent cannabis one-stop shop.
Braden Froese, Kevin Jorgenson and I donned shades and forged a crack team to get the job done on a tight timeline. We created the identity, app prototype, and UX Plan. Internally, we only referred to it as ”Project K” and kept the blinds drawn. The final product was a quick, convenient, chill user experience.
